You cannot spray on plants with vinegar because the acetic acid of vinegar may dry out the leaves and it may not recover. Also  if the vinegar goes in the soil, it may cause death of the plant. So you can use vinegar to spray areas in and around the garden, not directly on your plants. However, as vinegar temporarily lowers soil pH, it may be good for acid loving plants like blueberries, citrus plants, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, azaleas and gardenias.

Can You Spray Houseplants With Vinegar?

As vinegar is extremely acidic,  acid loving plants like house plants like azaleas, hydrangeas, rhododendron, gardenias and hollies will be benefitted with a vinegar spray with a mixture of a cup of white vinegar in a gallon of water.
